You were right @Kev ! I just finished the 16-week weigh-in for my last hatch of NNs + and Blaze, the one that was so pretty but had almost no meat on his bones, the one you said appeared to have good body structure...he is suddenly very well proportioned with nice meaty thighs, legs AND breast. He's still not quite as heavy as I'd like to see him, weighing in at 4.53 lbs. while my biggest NN boy weighed in at a solid 5.0 pounds...but his obvious potential has at least bought him a stay of execution. For now there are four out of the eleven NNs that I will be culling right away. The rest are in a holding pattern pending future evaluation.

I just wanted to thank all of you for your input. I continue to learn so much from all of you.

I have shown Black Naked Neck Bantams, I am going to show them again in another upcoming show. /img/smilies/wink.png

I also have hatching eggs available, from my Bantam N-necks. $15 a doz. assorted colors. SQ Blacks the other colors are just for fun, I have red, buff, columbian, silver, brown. I am working on getting in some barred N-neck bantam also.

a handsome guy!
Yes if you have pets and tolerance for noise and poop, I suppose that you could keep chickens inside. My house is small and totally carpeted and I am too old and grumpy for any animal inside even cats. rrrrrrrrruh I ain't gonna scoop no poop inside my house ! IT IS DIFFICULT ENOUGH TO CLEAN THE COOP !

Handsome young man. I have a NN/serama hen who is my best broody. She shares top hen position with my big Blue Marans hen. They have also shared a pen when they were both sitting and hatched out a brood and raised then together. Such fun that was. I love my birds but still would not allow them inside the house except for baths and short term first aide.
