Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Tank and Snape's feathers were looking particularly handsome to me today, so I thought I'd share:

You're as bad as I am. I took closeup photos of my birds' feathering and use the images as background on my cell phone.

And yes, those are some VERY pretty feathers!

That's the thing with the boys - they're so PRETTY!!!!!! DesertChic, you have some of the most interesting, lovely birds, not surprised that it'd be fascinating!

As I was looking at them all today, I was reminded of the reason I wanted to use Tank for the cross of NN and GNH - his feather pattern and coloring is EXACTLY the same (to my eye) as the GNH boys, just minus the neck feathers. Bet those offspring are going to be so lovely!!!

Oh man, baby NN's! I'm in love...! Here is my Gladys. Her and this silkie are best buds. Wonder what they will do apart come spring when I put that silkie in with the other silkies. And Gladys with the big girls. They are separated on by chicken wire from the big girls, so, Gladys will know them. Ok, what's up with this girls tail tip? I think it's cute though. This is a Gladys, right? She has long legs..going to be a big girl.
I'm fairly certain that is a Gladys. I've got several hens that have a hooked tail line that. I hate it but that's what it is. I'm hoping to get it bred out eventually.

Draye........dark neck.........

My Uggums...love her.

Uggums with a mohawk, because she got wet.

Uggums as a baby..now you can see why I named her Uggums!

But, I
think she turned out cute. The yellow went completely away.
