Do you know the size egg she came from? How old is she?

I do not know the exact age as I bought her at a feed store when she was just few weeks from laying she has about a month laying

The feathering on the younger one looks. Very interesting so far. Out of my 4 NNEE crosses two got the NN gene.

It's hard to say. Not everyone breed's for the bigger sized egg's or for good temperament's. Just as a chicken is a chicken to some, and egg is an egg.

Are you going to breed the 2 chick's that have the Nn gene back to a NN?

Gah, my NNEEs turned out to be a scam. Glad it was only 5 bucks .

I have a pheonix in with my girls now, gonna switch to my Asian black male soon until I get a male I like. Got 6 eggs in the incubator (and 32 quail eggs) that may be from Atlas or the pheonix. Maybe I'll get some pretty ones from that group

Anyone have good luck getting NNs to go broody? They're building a clutch (yes, I'm the type who leaves eggs until they sit or get thrown out) but so far not too interested. I'm getting conflicting info on if they're likely to brood, but mine are hatchery stock anyways
