Oh PG! Jezobel is appropriately named!

As to the boys, that temps me to try Brahmas in my area, despite the heat. Those are some luscious looking birds, well suited for meat birds and they certainly don't hurt the eyes.

The Delaware/NN cross doesn't even come close to the size of your boys. They are still tiny, but who knows what will happen.

We are almost to a full month of 100+ days, and I am afraid I would just lose too many brahmas to the heat.

Love that girls strut.

Since PGs birds grew that large in 15 weeks, you could start them in the fall and they would be ready to process before the temps went up. (This year we were not beastly until June) They would be nice and tender as young birds. I wonder if Mort feels about the competition ? Jezobel is quite the looker isn't she ?

Theres alot of good info on here about madagascar game. I got scolded once on here for listing a link to game sites, so I will let you do your own search. Or send me a PM with your email and I will shoot you a link or two to help you get started the right direction. Guy

After pics. of my 'interesting' birds a few days ago, I thought I would add this one who resulted from a random egg that I placed in the incubator along with La Fleche (incubator cold for 24 hours as lead pulled out).

Amazingly 5 out of 6 of the La Fleche hatched, as did this little Blondie.

This little guy is VERY sweet, much like yours Gootziecat and Old*cowboy . OK I know you have a brooders full of cuties to my one, but at least I know that my bunch can produce chicks that folk don't shudder at....

The postie asked me what the heck were my 'dinosaurs' a few days ago

but I like the ugly oddities, and admire their amazing foraging abilities. They take very little food that I give them preferring to find their own. I found them with baby shrews/mice a week or two back which they ate.....a bit gross, but they are helping the cat out! Oh heck.....just had a thought......I hope they don't eat the cat.

.

Please keep the pics. coming so I know what I may be aiming at.....

Little Blondie in the pic. above you will see he is leaning on a La Fleche chick. The La Fleches have nostrils sticking up....a bit alligator like.....hmmmmmmm
