Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Here's a few of my naked necks..

This guy is only like 3.5 months old and big for his age, he always escapes the cage that's why.

Another rooster that's older.

My favorite rooster, he's a good rooster. My dad hates him for some reason lol.

This hen I call her tiki head cause her head is small but she is a great mother and a diva.

Those are some sharp looking turkens.Really like the reds.

Good thing I have two black females to use

My girls started to lay around 23 weeks. One is still not laying, and they are 27 weeks old.
You guys wanted pictures of the new chicks, here they are. I have 4, and they are all barred and have naked necks.

This one has dried goo. Need to use a warm wash cloth tonight to clean it up. I did a bit, but it's still like that.

I lost all my barred boys. The group of chicks all seemed great spunky and healthy. In the group all the boys were barred and girls either black or red, anyway one by one all the boys got sick or injured and died all the girls thrived. I was going to eat the boys, but was going to let one get old enough to get chicks from them, but the best laid plans and all..................

GEO BOY since they both look similar GOLDEN RED, I would guess more of the same colors. The Polish Frizzle looks like a character, yet fairly calm ?

Love the trees in the background, great contrast to the golden. Here in the desert, which does have some exotic qualities, I miss my eastern woodlands. I am tired of brown mountains.

I'm sorry to hear that Kassaundra :( How awful.

Whatever was in the NN parent stock was scrawny. The meat is tough and scarce on the boys we processed. These chicks are fathered by one of my barred rock roosters. Hopefully that beefs them up a bit. Their moms are only a bit bigger than a silkie, though they are 3 times the weight.

He is actually a red crested red polishXbuff laced polish cross. Will that mean I could see some color from crossing that pair?
Hopefully you'll get more colors from them.
I'm hoping that my Buff Laced 1/2 Polish-1/2 EE will give me more colors also. But then again I'm not too terribly worried about it, just mostly trying to learn a few things as I go along with my project.

I actually got some pretty decent lacing in a buff laced x sizzle (unsure of colour)
