There’s someone on BYC that has a frizzle roo named Angry Pinecone. Very fitting name. I laughed so hard wine came out my nose (after 5pm of course)I want a frizzle so bad bc it looks like it stuck a fork in a light socket.![]()

If you get one, the frizzle gene is dominant. I was getting too many and you can't breed them together or you wind up with issues, so sadly I had to rehome some.I want a frizzle so bad bc it looks like it stuck a fork in a light socket.![]()
Awe, such beautiful birds! Some do have some massive foot action going on there! Adorable!Satins! All the silkie characteristics but with normal smooth feathers.
I totally hate having to share photos of my adorable chickens... but I'll make myself do it just for you...
Satins, I'm not sure what breed was introduced but these guys have crazy long foot feathers.

They have issues if bred together? Awwww.If you get one, the frizzle gene is dominant. I was getting too many and you can't breed them together or you wind up with issues, so sadly I had to rehome some.
If you have one, about 1/3 to 1/2 can be frizzled, and then it carries so if one of the grandparents were a frizzle, there could be a frizzle popping through. This one was 2nd generation from this spring. I own zero frizzles, but yet, here we are.![]()

Most definitely. Let me see if I can get one without my 22 month old causing terror. He likes to climb and get stuff off the counter. Like my tub of butter and then smear it all over the living room and kitchen in under two minutes. Same with eggs. Can't keep eggs out. You have to crack one at a time into a bowl (scrambled eggs) from the fridge. Need 6 eggs? You're going in the fridge 6 times. He is a bootyhead.
With all the cockerels I hatched, plus the 2 from TSC, plus my old rooster, I've named my operation Roosters Run FarmCrazy thing is I want to keep most of the pullets, but not more than maybe 2 roos? I already have my Australorp rooster. Maybe one of these days I will start a teeny local hatchery. Call it "Mystery Mutts" or whatever the chicken equivalent is![]()
Carol Burnett - not a cartoon, but you must know who that is!They have issues if bred together? Awwww.
I want a red colored frizzle pullet though. Reply if you think you know what I would name her. Mind you I am 34. So think about cartoons I watched growing up![]()
Please tell me the chocolate one was named HersheyCloud is a perfect name! Maybe she didn't want to be touched because she always worked so hard to keep her fluff just so.
My TSC silkies are wild and really skittish. The ones I hatched, it's hard not to trip over them. A couple don't like to be touched but others are really chill once I pick them up.
Svanhild had cold feet and Chonkers was sure I must have food in my hand.

One of my chocolate frizzles, not super interested in being touched, but also insanely nosey.
