Naturally hatched w/ mom until mom gave up on her: leg/foot issues

Pics
Looks like the other one from here. What about from there? That’s great news about her standing taller and walking better! Both legs look nice and strong too!

Ok so I took a couple more and messed around with contrast/ colors etc. Just all the photi editing thats on my phone.

For my inexperienced eyes: it looks like maybe her bad one sticks out further or just comes of her body wrong ... like her good one *looks* like it comes from underneath or at least streamlined with her body. The bad one looks like it comes from the side . It's so hard to get a picture showing those differences but I did take some ofher legs. I've got a plan to give her a special treat on her own so I can get her to stand still with no one running around and get a picture of the difference . If not I'll draw it :fl

Sorry for the delay! It's been a busy 3 days here with birthdays, student store and kids school conferences plus getting ready for our spring break next week.. yikes it's going to be busyall week:th

Bad leg is circled. It does look bigger or fatter than the other and aside from that and it *looking* like it comes from the side .. it doesn't seem to bother her. It's still not as strong, she can't stand alone on just that one, and does walk slightly different.. I don't notice her in pain?!

It does look slightly out away from the body. Which is why it’s a little weaker. So I think you are thinking about things correctly. And I’m glad she’s doing better! It will probably be all the way fixed by the time she’s full grown since you caught it early!

I can see it too. Could have been stepped on when hatched or born with a slight defect but what ever she has sure come a long way. Oh boy I remember those school days no rest for the weary!lol

Woo hoo I'm glad we're on the right track! I'm going to keep up with everything I'm doing now .. want to get her strong and ready for when she joins the others outside. I do have a backup plan if she can't free range with the others. I'd just add onto my coop or split the yard so she could forage while being protected. I do get coyotes during the day once in a while.

I was thinking the same thing.. birth defect or injury.. but at least shes improving and is acting like a spoiled piggy duck :love:lau
