Alright, here is what is left of the older group of chickens (from previous pictures):

And yes, they still sleep crammed together like that.

We'll probably end up getting rid of this Easter Egger and the other.

But oh well...too many roosters, as expected...

Here is the "middle" group:

We knew about the frizzles (I got rid of the other 2) and Silkies, but took a shot in the dark on the others.
So I should have:

- White Cochin Frizzle banty rooster
- Black Silkie (I wish at least this one would be a hen...)
- Buff Silkie (But they are both making me think rooster more than I'd like...)
- BB Red Old English pullet
- Dark Brahma banty pullet

So...in the Silkie department I've got Black, Gray (shouldn't be Blue), Buff, and White covered. 1 rooster and 1 hen for sure...I hope the younger ones aren't both cockerels!



Does anyone want to confirm the BB Red and Brahma I mention?
The brown feathers on the body of the BB Red make me think her colors may be a little off from the "grayish" that it is supposed to be, but maybe it will over time. I don't see which other OE it could be.

The youngest group we have (that is surprisingly cohabiting with all the other full size birds quite a bit):

We bought the birds as a Buff Orphington pullet, Barred Rock pullet, Light Brown Leghorn pullet, and two assorted bantams. I think the BR and LH were the only we knowingly bought "specie correct".
I'll post up what I think I have after the pictures, so you're welcome to help confirm or deny.

Here they all are...

...except for Millie on the far right. For some reason they want to squish beside her.

So I believe what we have is this here:

- Barred Rock pullet (given)
- Light Brown Leghorn pullet (I agree with)
- Golden Comet pullet (NOT Buff Orphington like it was listed as)
- Silver Duckwing Old English bantam rooster
- Spangled Cornish bantam pullet


Does anyone want to back me up on the Silver Duckwing and Spangled Cornish?
On the last two, I didn't know if Southern States would sell these "more obscure" chickens, but Ideal/MMcM have them in their line-up so I'm guessing it's very feasible.

I really need to get more individual pictures of the older group.
The Speckled Sussex and a few are really handsome birds, and the Black Jap's tail is slowly getting there!
