Necks breaking!!

I also think it may of just been the breeder. Only my white chicks died and I got them from the same breeder, and the same age. Maybe they were mire susceptible to getting wry neck? I'm not sure if that's how it works though.
Floppy necks are not wry necks. That's a totally different issue. Chicks don't generally die right away from wry neck. You should see signs, first. The bird's neck twists so that the it looks like they're staring at the sky. That's why wry-neck is sometimes called star-gazing, because it looks like that's what they're doing - gazing at the stars.

Kinda like this...it reduces the scatter big time. Just a small amount though. You don't want it to mold sitting in there for days.

Look around for a deeper jar lid too...something with a higher side instead of a flat plate.

The temp has been fine though. Its not even pointed directly at them. Since I got them I've been constantly watching them and adjusting everything to their liking its just hard to believe that's whats been killing them. I guess I'll find out for certain when I get the test results

It's not wry neck. Your chicks are dying. What could it hurt to try a different heat source before you lose them all?

I highly recommend you get some Corid.
Corid won't hurt them and may save their lives. I just had coccidiosis run through one of my coops ... and it was awful! Corid worked like magic! Just be sure to give them something to replace the lost B vitamins, once the Corid course is done. They may crash without it. Save-a-Chick has little packets that should do the trick.

I raise chicks for the 1 - 2 wks in a huge plastic bin with MHP & potty pads (non - gel) for observation, never had a problem. They then move out into the brooder (3x8x2) with their MHP until fully feathered, depending on weather conditions sometime longer.
Sometimes it depends on the brand of bin. All plastics are not made equal ... and some are definitely better quality than others.

To the OP - I have been following this thread and just wanted to say that from the very beginning I was impressed with your care for your chicks and your obvious concern for their well-being. You have been so willing to listen and act upon the advice others gave you without making excuses or trying to defend yourself and what you were doing. I know others who have asked for advice have done the same, but your kindness and humility just really stood out to me. When you asked about a problem and were offered suggestions, a couple of times I expected you to make excuses and try to justify what you were doing, but you never did and I was just so impressed by that. You took the advice that was offered and acted upon it right away and are obviously doing everything in your power to help the sweet little things. I do hope you are able to save them all as I have no doubt they will have a wonderful life under your care. And, by the way, they are SO ADORABLE! :love:love:love

Keep up the good work and please us informed of their progress!
Ditto X 100! And when you update, please remember that we LOVE pictures!!! :D
