To us all!
I set mine Saturday night.
12 eggs in the LG still air..
14 eggs in the Reptipro 5000.
The LG is a pain in the butt to keep steady. I had it running for 3 days prior to setting at 100-101 degrees. I know after putting eggs in and once they warm up, the temp goes up a bit, so I kept it at 100-101 figuring once eggs are in it may go up to 102. In my still air, I usually like to keep the temps at 101-102. Well... it spiked to 105, but only for an hour or two (I don't trust it so I keep a close eye on that one) Hopefully no damage was done, doubt it. The Reptipro does not hold more than about a dozen eggs comfortably, but I've had issues with that too. Last year almost lost a batch when our power went out and when it came back on, a few minutes later, the Reptipro went up to 140 degrees

. Luckily I heard the beeping and ran down and saved the hatch. Its worked fine since, but still don't trust it fully. Soooo..... my eyes are glued to these. I plan on candling on Thursday. I also set 3 of my own white showgirl eggs to check for fertility. I am hoping my roo is doing his job correctly! Thanks to all that are with me and lets have fun hatching!

My 8 duck eggs and 2 guinea eggs are also in an LG (set last Thursday). I can't see through the guinea eggs, but all of the duck eggs are fertile and developing nicely so far

I *think* what's made a difference in my LG this time is that I'm no longer using sponges for humidity, but instead have filled the two small channels on either side in the bottom, PLUS I have a water bottle in there (to mist the eggs), which acts as a "heat sink" and keeps the temps steady (it's been dead on at 100 the entire time). I refill the channels about every other day, and my humidity is staying right around 50%. My LG is a forced-air model - we modified it ourselves by putting a PC fan in the top, wired to a cell phone charger.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the tip! I filled the 2 small channels from the start and humidity has been about 35%. At lockdown, I have to fill all chambers **and** place a wet sponge or 2 to get it up to around 70%. Once the first chick hatches, the humidity jumps up on its own. I had a still air hova bator that I loved.. kept perfect temps and not so delicate to regulate. I wish the LG company would make a better "knob" so its easier to adjust. I barely nudge it and it skyrockets or drops. Once its set though, usually it keeps perfect temps. I really should look into a fan for it.

Good Luck on the duck eggs and the guinea's

These are the first duck eggs I've ever incubated (didn't get ducks - Rouens - until last year). They are so, so easy to candle, and you can see everything so clearly. We're on day 5 now and, knock on wood, they're all looking GREAT. Keeping my fingers crossed!

It just figures that my Partridge hen Maple, who is always broody, isn't now

I call her my BEST incubator. She is almost 3 years old now, still laying great. She hatched out ducklings for me last year. She was sitting on non-fertile eggs on and off all winter. I had to keep breaking her broodiness. I think she is mad at me

13 EE on Sat 2/26, some from ebay (which I let sit 24hrs rm temp, and 52hrs in bator) and some given to me (which I began turning 6hrs later). I started turning them ALL together at noon! I feel like now we've REALLY started. Temp & humidity are steady, now just sit tight for the duration!!

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!!
