Need advice from experts

I'm in my 70's. I'm always working around my birds and coops. Maybe if you go over one day and said "mom lets do this together" such as cleaning her coop with her and work with her, maybe it will help. I don't know but maybe taking some of her birds will relieve her a bit and help. What are the problems with her birds. I do all of my work myself because my DH is 80 years young but has Parkinson's so getting around is hard for him.
Problems vary: hens and roosters alike will just die without many symptoms. Or, you will notice a change in their chirp that sounds like a respiratory infection. We will also notice lethargy, diarrhea, standing off by itself almost waiting to die without interest in eating or drinking, (we see this alot)

Weak mostly. She didn't feed the hens enough protein is what I'm assuming.
Game bird feed are higher in protein and is fine to use. I use the game bird starter because it is higher in protein than regular starter/grower feed. I show my birds at poultry shows.

Thank you!

Also, the coop is always in a constant state of filth, she feeds the chickens on the ground where the poop is, and doesn't clean the water bowls often!

May I ask a difficult question? Is she a hoarder? That may be the actual root of the problem, and if so, I have no idea what to do next. What does her house look like, inside?

I am so sorry you are having this problem. It’s a lot easier to try and “fix” it when she’s not your Mom. :-(
