Need Advice, not the chicken I was promised.

according to this store they had a chicken expert who is also a fair judge on the chickens. I asked her twice if she was certain they were EEs, because they looked very much like Chipmunks. she assured me yes and she was there when the shipment came, said right on the box what they were and she and put them in the bins.
Well it least take the pictures of your so-called Americanos to the store and show that chicken express that maybe she shouldn’t tout her expertise so well

Plus I’ve always heard such great things about who first hatchery. I don’t know that they would screw up that bad. Because that’s way way off. I wish it was the hatchery because most of the bigger hatcheries usually have no problem sending you new chickens or refunding your money with no argument. Unless you have a credit card statement with your purchase you might be stuck. I have a hard time holding onto receipts from five months ago too. In Virginia you have to sign your name when you purchase chickens and they have to keep that on record. I don’t know if it’s the same in Iowa but they should have a record of it
There are no regulations like that in place for Iowa it's pretty much a free-for-all. I do have bank statements of that transaction but it's not itemized at all. It's just the cost of the five chicks and the starter and bedding

That’s because the chicken is not an Easter Egger
That chicken does not look like an Easter Egger.
I hope they didn’t charge much for them. I know it’s probably more about the principal and the money at this point and I understand that. Even if you can’t get your money back I would go in there and let them know what you were promised and what you’ve got. Maybe just maybe they will listen and be more careful about labeling next time
