That's a brilliant idea! Thank you!
Update: So, Lucy is doing even worse this morning. She is stumbling around as though drunk and is on her SIDE, unable to get up every couple of minutes that I've looked in on her this morning. I have, of course, helped her back to her feet. I'm worried sick about her! I started them on the niacin-in-water yesterday evening. Would it be okay to give her a stronger solution of the niacin water? I have a little (needle-less) syringe I could use to drip a small amount of the stronger solution in her mouth. Is this a bad idea? I could really use some input on this! I saw her take a couple of sips of the niacin water this morning, but I don't think it was enough. I've put a lot of heart into saving her and would hate to lose her two weeks into things (I've had her 2 weeks today, and I think she is roughly 3 weeks old). PLUS, I'm supposed to be taking them to a friend's house TODAY so I can leave tomorrow on a 1 week vacation. I was really hoping she'd be better by the time I got back, and now I'm worried that she may not make it that long. She seems to be healthy otherwise, and she is growing and gaining weight. However, she can't eat or drink if she's constantly on her side, unable to get up.
