Hi everyone!
I am new to back yard chickens and this is my first ever flock so I need help with gendering and identifying breeds. My little chicks are 5 wks old (I know it’s a little young to sex them) but one of them seems to have some red/ pink comb and I’m not sure if it’s a pullet or cockerel or if I should just keep waiting. I will attach pictures of this chick! I’m also unsure of his/ her breed. Any opinions for sex and breed welcome!

Hi. In the first two photos, your Easter Egger's comb looks like a cockerel to me. (The comb doesnt look as red in the other pictures.) Coincidently I have ten 5-week-old Easter Eggers with a broody hen, and 4 of the chicks have redder combs than the others, very similiar to yours. But it's still too early to know for sure, so post another picture on this thread in two or three weeks.
