So string - cotton? Or Hemp? You want string that they can't eat any of, or break through with intense pecking. Probably depends on how strong the fishing line is.

You can probably make the best judgement on this. If you think that they will be able to eat it, use something different. So string - cotton? Or Hemp?

Do you have any crossbeams on the run?Can you tell me how to hang the swing. I have chicken wire and a wood frame... Thx
Also, what are chicken toys? Can you tell me how to hang the swing. I have chicken wire and a wood frame... Thx
Yes! I also have wood attached to my fascia on the side of my house.Do you have any crossbeams on the run?
If you have a crossbeam on the top of the run, you can tie the swing on there. You can also do something where the strings holding up the swing meet in the middle and all go to one string. You can then hang this on one of the side beams on the run.Yes! I also have wood attached to my fascia on the side of my house.

I'm in Florida, so could I throw palm fronds?
I hadn't thought about chain. Agreeing with everything said here.Chain is the best choice for hanging things IMO. I would avoid using anything braided/twisted/woven around chickens. If it frays and they swallow a length of it, it could be fatal.
