Need Egg Pictures for Egg Color Chart.

I have three speckled Russian orloff chicks. Hope I can contribute a pic in a few months. I've heard that they lay dark brown eggs, also heard white eggs. I am interested in finding out. I love the egg chart! The variety of eggs is beautiful. I am envious of those who have flocks that lay such a variety of eggs!

Great photos!

The white egg on the bottom is from my Ancona:

I was looking in BYC and I saw some oddly colored eggs. One chicken laid blue eggs and another hen laid eggs that were a deep reddish color. I am interested in buying some of the hens that lay some of these odd colored eggs. I have had Arucana's (sp) that laid colored eggs. Most of the eggs were pale green and purple. I have never seen a chicken or owned a chicken that laid sky blue eggs and the deep burgandy red eggs. If anyone knows what kind of chickens lay these odd colored eggs, I would sure like to know.
Thanks!

It seems like every hen I get lays brown eggs. My Wynadotts laid brown eggs, my Black Sex Link laid brown eggs and my Barred Rock hen also lays brown eggs. I have some Speckles Sussex and some Red Star hens that have not started laying yet, but my guess is that they will also lay brown eggs. I have been trying to find hens that lay the sky blue eggs and the deep burgandy red colored eggs. I saw the eggs on this web site but have not been able to find out what kind of hens lay the exotic colored eggs. I have had Aruacaunna (sp) which lay light colored eggs usually green or purple ( I have had those). The hens I am looking for lay eggs the color of the "submit" button on this post.

From left to right: white phoenix chick's first egg, year-old white phoenix, another white phoenix chick's first egg, chantecler/ameraucauna x, australorp/ameraucauna x. Still waiting for the golden phoenix to lay again, her eggs are ice-blue like her earlobes.
