Need Help! 18 day old hatching eggs. Hen died

Just a thought.....cover them with about four to five inches of wheat straw youve soaked in warm water....and put a red dome light about 8 inches above...... Light and airy...holds the heat and humidity...and kinda avoids the shock of moving them this late to an incubator. This does require a substabtial amount of diligence on the part of the Mama/Papa

I am so happy that you have a pip!! Maybe you will have enough chicks from this to start your new flock. Congratulations! :wee:jumpy
We use that kind of latch on our enclosed run and secure it with a carabiner. When we first installed it I thought it would be a pain to do that every time I opened and closed it, but it’s become such second nature that I don’t even think about it any more.
