Need help!! Chick injured!

Hmm…what animals would have access to reach in there?

I just found out that a possum has been around the area, and so far as to say it has newborns or so. I'm think that it could been that but I'm not sure how it was able to grab the chick. I'm thinking that possums don't have long arm like a raccoon but i haven't researched. Either it's that or a raccoon too but don't raccoon stay out of sight during the day?
