Need help....ducks dying

I also admit to adding some whole or cracked corn to their feed in cold months to help them keep warm. I am not sure 30% protein should be given at all. Too much protein is bad for animals. I think the layer feed and even starter & grower feed have a lot less protein than that. Too much of a *good thing* can be a bad thing. Their bodies have to work harder to process excess protein.

I second the suggestion of the use of probiotics & electrolytes. Again, be careful. Some of the vitamin & mineral powders are very concentrated
 
When I'm tubing a sick duck, turkey, peafowl, etc. it gets either 22% protein Kaytee Baby Bird Food or 27% turkey starter. The Kaytee product is very expensive, so they usually get the 27% turkey starter. Short term, 30% shouldn't be an issue if proper hydration is maintained.
