I am trying to convince my husband that we should cut out a little door in the human door of our coop. I know I have seen it on here somewhere but cannot find it anywhere! It’s just a little door cut out with hardware cloth behind it. It would go in the door like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you :)

I've seen them...but would be hard put to find them.
Sorry.
Maybe browse thru the coop articles?

I've got a pop door in my man door. Not sure why you would want to cut in a door and cover it with HC. I plan to only use the little pop door in the winter, but I currently open the man door for additional ventilation during the summer.

I do prop the human door open but would like a little more ventilation in the hot months. Thought that would be a good option so I don’t have to leave the big door open all the time. Also thinking of making it a Dutch door and putting a “screen door” of some sort in.

Thanks @aart. I have been through almost all of the articles. I think someone just posted the picture on a thread somewhere. I will continue to look for it. Thank you!

If you look closely at my pic, It is a Dutch door. My limited engineering skills and the sloped ground caused my hoop run to pass through the top of the door effectively making it un- openable.
Solution... Dutch door.

Haha! Yeah I noticed that. Looks like it would work great for ventilation! My runs and pop door are off the side of my coop so I was looking for options that would allow more of the breeze to go through coop on the hot days:thumbsup
