Need help sexing my 5 week old buffs

I haven't heard any crowing yet, and I'm hoping I catch it as soon as they start so my neighbors don't hate me/turn me in. I know buffs can be hard to figure out, and I had one person tell me that they gave away two buffs that they were certain were roosters and then they started laying. I guess I'll know for sure around 6 months??

There is no doubt you have cockerels there. They have male feathering and huge combs and wattles. Sorry.

I share your disappointment. I started with 15 total from a local farm, and ended up with *3* hens. I hope anyway. Only one if the 3 I'm 100%positive is a hen. So I ordered a new batch, from an actual hatchery & sexed this time, that should be here tomorrow.

Gold luck! Hope you get all hens this time! I may have to do the same, but I can't find a place that ships for a decent price and only a small number. I can only take maybe three in addition to my others.
