Don't feel like an idiot--some people are just plain trashy and will take advantage to the max of good people who couldn't conceive of such behavior. My family has been through a lot of heartache and similar-type behavior with my sister and the things some people will pull just boggle the mind. I do thank everyone again for their kind words, it has made me feel much better about the situation. We had more bad news from his mother today,..she called to tell my DH that our nephew has been expelled from school. He was in a fight with a group of other kids and there was some racial slurs, anyway, they put him out of school. This happened last year also about this same time. He was expelled from the middle school for carrying a knife His mother told my DH that she was going to call the DHHR and see if she could get something done with him. I honestly think she thought we would let him come back if she threatened to send him off,..but DH told her to do what she had to do, we couldn't help anymore. It is all such a shame.

A GED will not get you as good a resume as a High School Diploma will and its harder to pass a GED test then it is a HSD . Trust me Im still taking classes for mine. Tell him to stay in school if he wants to have a future. Life is hard enough as it is with out having to be turned down for almost every job you apply for cause you dont have your GED or HSD
