Need help!

What is medicated even for if no one recommends buying it? Like every video I’ve seen the people are always saying no medicated food.
It helps prevent coccidiosis.
There are a lot of people that need to use that type of feed because they already have coccidia on their land.

It will not hurt to use the medicated type feed at all.

Keep them warm, not too hot, and wait.
They don't really start eating or running around like crazies until they are a day old.
They are a day old. Well one runs around and is very active and some of the other ones have there moments. But it’s really nerve wracking for you first time hatching birds. I feel like they are always dying

That's normal for young chicks! Once they're a 3 or 4 days old they should start to get more active. What is the temp in there?
No problem!

Oh that looks great! You don't need to crush it then. I can only get crumbles here.
Do you have marbles or rocks in their waterer just to ensure they can't drown? Gamebird babies enjoy trying to find creative ways to kill themselves. Lol.
Oh yeah!! No but I will. That’s a disaster if I just put their water bowl with no rocks. Thank you. I’ve seen some videos of people explaining how their birds died and your right , some die in crazy ways

That’s very good information thank you! When do they start to need water? Basically ASAP right? I can’t get them to go and drink water. That’s my biggest issue

Leave them alone... Give them a day to figure everything out.

Add water immediately.
I notice your feed holder is huge.
I believe you only have a couple of quails so it's going to take them an extremely long time to go through that amount of feed.

Make sure your waterer is small and has rocks or marbles in it so the quail cannot climb into the waterer.

it’s the smallest one in the store. But I’m another 3 days my second batch is going to hatch and there is 20 eggs in that one

Good! Make sure the rocks are clean.
Gamebird chicks are nutty, lol.

You have to dip their beaks in the water. Then sit them down next to the water.
Dip their beaks in a few times during the first day so they learn where it is.

I've hatched hundreds of quail and never once dipped a beak in water.
