Hi BYC, earlier this week i posted about my chickens prolapse (and also realised probably vent gleet? few days later).

First picture was the initial prolapse, her bottom was stuck with poop and i discovered the prolapse the day i soaked her and hard poop/scabbed? came off. Other hen pecked her a little which most likely caused more bleeding (two are separated now.)
Ever since then, i have been soaking her daily in warm water and putting Anusol ointment and manuka honey on the area x2 and apple cider in her water. Been about 7 days now. To me, her swelling has gone down and it’s easier to push her prolapse in (sometimes when i don’t even mean to) and so has the secretion of a white mucky pasty material minimised. But this hard scab thingy few days ago formed which i need confirmation on why/what is formed with. Through each soak, it seems to be falling off/softening on its own, the pictures i posted are from today and as you can see the bottom of the scab is cleared revealing her prolapse. I would like to know if this scab is affecting her more than i think it is and identifying if there’s more to it. I’ve been hesitant of pushing the prolapse back in yet because of it as well, yet i’m worried on how much longer i can leave her with a prolapse.

I agree with @SmiYa0126 I would make sure she's getting Extra Calcium.

The white leakage is not Vent Gleet, it's urates and mucous. This is common in hens that have prolapse and it will harden making a scab. Sounds like the tissue was also damaged from picking, so it's just going to take time for all of this to heal.

Continue with Calcium, soaks, application of ointment, etc. Sometimes mineral oil can be helpful in loosening the crusty material as well, as the prolapse and tissue heals, hopefully the leaking will reduce as well.

Good advice on your other thread :
