Need some advice on Java's

Be careful
here in this forum are a lot of pictures and photos posted, from people he never have seen a green peacock in nature and never kept and bred.
Do not believe everything you write and show it is very misleading.

Yeah I am a member there. I think when I first went to join my popup blocker wouldn't let me on there and I had to change some settings to tell my popup blocker that the website is okay.

You young ones have so many more computer skills than as old people. My brother is computer whiz so when he comes if I remember will ask him to help me get on.

Thanks for all the info but I'm still unsure if I have java or Spaulding. I was told I bought java
These are last years. Can you help? I don't know how to add picture

To add a picture:

First click on this little landscape at the top of your post (purple arrow):

Then you will click on "Upload files," which will direct you to select a photo from wherever you have it on your computer:

Then wait for the photo to load (yellow arrow), select a size for the photo to appear in your post (green arrow), and click on "Submit" (red arrow)...

That should do it!!

I second that they are way too blue looking in the neck. Also just as AugeredIn said they should have very defined scale-like feathers on their neck.

I hope you did not pay too much for them. I would contact the breeder you got them from and tell them they are not Javas and explain to them that they are far too blue, have no scale neck feathers, they are too short, etc. The person you bought them from could have a Spalding pair that looks like Javas and they could be producing very low % looking spaldings and selling them as Javas because they don't know any better. Or something like that.

If you want some real green peafowl let us know. There are some legit sources to get them from. AugeredIn being one of them. ;)
