Need to choose a type of duck to show, lookign for oppinions! :)

Personally, I love my Welsh Harlequins. I wouldn't say any breed is truly better than others, it's just personal preference. :) The runners, before you buy make sure you get better pictures of them, if you are buying them unseen. If you want to show, the runners really need a good body type or it won't be worth your time. Get an APA standard book, that is REALLY important if you want to show! I've shown in 4-H for many years, and am now getting into open shows so feel free to message me with any questions. :)

P.S.-I know this has been said, but predator proofing is so important! Just one raccoon can wipe out your whole flock, and you'd have to restart. Good luck!

I adore Cayugas as a breed, but for showing them, I'm not sure. I know they can be a pain since they lose their green sheen from too much UV exposure, so show breeders often keep them indoors 24/7. Maybe not the most practical bird. :p
