They are jealous. Your items are very nice. I would only change the background. Maybe a light or white background. Too much going on takes away from the beauty of your items. And they are lovely. It's only a suggestion not a dig. I don't give a rats behind what they said, they are wrong!! I have seen a lot of knitting and crochet and I can tell you your work very good. Report them for the rude comment. There was no need for that. It was hateful. Sorry people are so rude. It was probably some hateful old dude having male pms and didn't take their anti depressants.

I chalk it up to they don't know any better. They are ignorant and probably have no talents or skills.

I like your slipper pattern. I have one like it only it's done on four needles for the toe part. Then I crochet a cuff on the ankle part. It's a fun pattern. It's sort of a combination of three patterns.

Ignore the jerk Is there any roadside flea markets in your area. if so try there to sell you things
Tell any one complaining to bring their knitting needle and show you how they do it better . From the pictures you posted I doubt many will take you up on that offer

I like your style Hicks and totally agree. I doubt Queen Scoot would mind my saying that she has not answered this thread with all your kind comments due to the fact that she and her disabled husband have fallen on economic hard times and had to vacate the rental house they were in and are currently "camping" (her term), until they are able to locate another place to live. She is like family to us on the crochet "chat" thread and checks in from the library computer sometimes so keep her in your thoughts and prayers for a better situation to happen her way. And those self-absorbed people on craigslist that felt they needed to shout off their hateful opinions to her, well, I'm sure at some point that negative karma will circle back around to them....hope so anyway....hugs to you and yours Scoot
