Is it legal to use dog poison in Texas?

I had a friend that owned the offending dog once. They had to go to court. The dog had to wear a shock collar, not the mild kind, but one where if the owner pushed a button the dog would get zapped and collapse. The dog was deemed dangerous and a nuisance and further violations would result in animal control taking the dog and euthanization.

Shooting your neighbors dog will not likely fix things. There will be other dogs, as others have said, it's the owner not caring. Generally dogs are not allowed to roam "at large." File a complaint with animal control, the rest will follow.

The OP said the dogs are jumping her fence when they are attacking her animals. So they are on her property.

I think she only ment to specify when and where if op where to shot the dogs it would be considered legal. Ie she can't shot them for digging at the fence but can as soon as they are through the fence. And questionable territory would include any shared driveways. I think it was just ment as a heads up that one would need to wait untill the intruding dog is fully within the perimeter before shooting.
