Understood, however yes in a city, we are in a quiet neighborhood. When picking a house I can see if its near a train track, bus center etc.. It would be the same as my dogs barking at 4am. Personally I find it inconsiderate. The fact it is waking us up everyday says a lot that it is loud. Again i dont care they have them, just would rather not hear it at 4am.You are going to create bad relations with neighbours you might have to live with for years & years & create a tit for tat situation that would be ongoing & stressful if you go to the law. People in cities learn to sleep through trucks, sirens, trains & buses ~ & frankly a rooster is a lot more pleasant to listen to. If it were me I'd just adjust to the rooster. The whole *peek through the fence* thing smacks of prying into what is none of your business & looking for a reason to create trouble.
Edit: not trying to create bad relationships either. If it crows at 7am-10pm totally fine. But normal sleeping hours, I think wed rather it be quiet. If she wants to have one, fine. If she wants to illegally have one.. fine. Just dont want to hear about it.
