Neighbor has roosters...

You are going to create bad relations with neighbours you might have to live with for years & years & create a tit for tat situation that would be ongoing & stressful if you go to the law. People in cities learn to sleep through trucks, sirens, trains & buses ~ & frankly a rooster is a lot more pleasant to listen to. If it were me I'd just adjust to the rooster. The whole *peek through the fence* thing smacks of prying into what is none of your business & looking for a reason to create trouble.
Understood, however yes in a city, we are in a quiet neighborhood. When picking a house I can see if its near a train track, bus center etc.. It would be the same as my dogs barking at 4am. Personally I find it inconsiderate. The fact it is waking us up everyday says a lot that it is loud. Again i dont care they have them, just would rather not hear it at 4am.

Edit: not trying to create bad relationships either. If it crows at 7am-10pm totally fine. But normal sleeping hours, I think wed rather it be quiet. If she wants to have one, fine. If she wants to illegally have one.. fine. Just dont want to hear about it.

Or maybe she can bribe you with fresh eggs? Maybe you'll sleep better with a full belly lol.
I have a rooster and offered to get collars if he bothers my neighbors but so far nobody minds. In 40 years I cant say I've ever called city on anyone. Cops on under age drinking and violence sure, rooster no.
I cant really say what or how much something bothers you. I once stayed across from train tracks and people said "you'll get used to it." 3 years later we moved and I finally slept through the night.
I have a rooster and can hear the train from my house but Im still in a rural area and also you get used to roosters I dont care about small tiny laws like roosters

I get that but it sounds like you are only going to be there short term & she was there first. Sorry, but I don't get starting a fight with your neighbours. But if you are determined to be in the right there's nothing more to be said. *shrugs*

Agreed

I bought this house haha. How is this starting a fight? If Im playing music too loud and someone asks "he can you try to lower it by midnight" how is that starting a fight?

some neighbors may get pissed at that the music thing

roosters are one of natures music dumb cars and trains are just annoying just toughen up

And if I am playing the Beatles or classical jazz? Hypothetical, but why so defensive? I am trying to be civil. Again, if you missed the first few posts, they are doing something illegal with the chickens.. roosters.. not even supposed to have them, not ideal living conditions. Thats fine, just dont need to hear a rooster at 4am, like I wouldnt want anyone hearing my dog at 4am.
