Neighbor's chickens over here. Mad as Heck!

Catch them and take them to the pound. If you are getting high blood pressure over them being in your yard, you're going to have a hard time for a long time, at least until you do something about it, because you neighbors arent going to.

If you dispose of them ..the owners will just get more and maybe charge you for them so I would think that a bad idea.

Why not attach extension hoses to your main one?
It works for me to control the animals around here.

You can get air soft guns from walmart and they work pretty good. Have you called authorities? I know it's extreme but I have experience with this my neighbor would call the sheriff every time I let my guineas out to free range they hated them but anyways there is a ticket for animaks at large. A hefty fine might encourage them to keep them penned.

I'd hose 'em. Or let my dog out...he don't like nothing messin with "HIS" Chickens

I have hosed them, and my dog is trained to protect all chickens...she won't go after the thugs.

Emzyyy, I forgot my chickens might eat the plastic bb's. I could just shoot them in my woods, my chickens don't go out there.

Goldensunriseranch, I just couldn't live w/ myself if I killed the little boys chickens. (I'm such a softie)

halo, I could take them to the pound but I know they'd just kill them too, right?

take pictures when they come in your yard. call the animal control or police and make a report so that there is a paper trail.

call EVERY time they show up in your yard. it works wonders here with strays of any kind, and we are rural.

Good idea, weird thing is I actually like the neighbors. They don't understand how much of a problem this is...even though I told them.

The thugs sleep up high in a tree all night...never in THEIR pen. They are like wild chickens.

If it were up to my husband, he'd "get" them one by one until none were left to roam my yard.

This is kinda off topic, but I'm totally new to chickens and wondering how you can tell a pretty chicken from an ugly one! They all look like birds to me, except for the obviously different ones like silkies or something.

I'd take pictures but someone here may have the same butt ugly chickens. Don't want to offend anyone!

I'd call animal control also, or like someone else said, catch them and take them to the pound. I like my neighbors also, but if they aren't caring for their animals and it's becoming a problem for me, they deserve better homes than those people are providing. I don't think chickens (hens, anyway) are hard to find homes for.
