I can't imagine we have put off getting a dog simply because I didn't want to risk my chickens getting killed. Livestock dogs are very expensive so we are saving and researching.

You can train most dogs not to kill chickens.You may not need a guardian dog.

I'm sorry that you felt the need to post and look at the carnage again, totally unnecessary and uncalled for.
Obviously and understandably you are very upset, but I believe people were just questioning that point of entry, not you personally or the whole sad ordeal.
It's very unfortunate that you were made to feel attacked or harassed. I've often thought that this section needs a "rainbow bridge" type sub-forum or thread for those who are really looking for people to commiserate with about their loss.
Seeing as this is the Predators and Pests forum posters often want to discuss the what and how of such happenings, which is then in conflict with others who find that sort of thing ghoulish and upsetting.

I think that was because we needed to see the damage to help with replacement costs,
then you posted the pushed in HC...and that didn't make sense.

BTW, have you come up with a number for the dog owner to pay, and have they paid it?

Its hard to explain everything since my husband handled a lot of aftermath and investigation part. I have no idea how to load the video and I haven't even watched the whole thing only parts of it. But it was definitely this dog 100%

I search all my breed but could only find pricing for 6 week old pullets but The chickens alone added up to $600
