can i go back to bed too??? someone else can walk the kids to school???
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! when it's 42 degrees out and windy and overcast, it's not smart to go out in just a flannel nightgown...
i did have my boots with the lambs fur inside on though.. rofl....
i gave in and brought the 5 week olds in.. they are in the downstairs bathroom in the bathtub since it has the sliding doors...
my chicken area doesn't have a building for a coop yet... but the older chickens are all running around the yard like nothing is out of the norm.... the poor little guys, who have been fine the last 2 days when it was this cold, but maybe not humid and windy?, were piling up in between the hay bales and the crate that they spent the night in with my gimpy rooster... i tried to put them back in the crate because it's got 2 blankets over it and there were no drafts in there... but they kept coming out and going back into the middle and piling up and shivering...
one of these days i'll have a real coop for them all.. lol...
but i just looked out the window, and 11 chickens and 3 mallards are hanging out under the pineapple palm tree... there's enough of the branches hanging down that it's pretty much like an island hut.... i can see them well wnough to tell that their feathers aren't even being rustled... lol... i knew they'd find a place to hang out out of the weather.. and i'm glad i left the branches on that one where i did... the peacocks like ot hang out under there too so i had left it for them to kinda hide them.. and then when i moved the chickens to the back half the property, they decided they like it too...
anyway.. i'm rambling.. i need to go see if i have enough warm clothes to bundle the kids in so we can walk to school....
again, be safe up there in the snow...
and yes, budkingston, congrats on your graduation!!!!!!!
if i got the information correct he should have had his graduation over the weekend.. and he'll take his tests within the next couple of weeks... good luck!!
