This is us, in June of last year. It was right after Russ' heart attack, before we kicked up our lifestyle a bit more. We're both about 40lbs lighter right now. Russ has houlihee chops instead of a full beard, and I have a bright pink streak in my hair.

Anyone else? Only if you're comfortable posting pics of your family online, of course.

Hello all. I have a request for prayer, good thought, positive vibes, whatever it is you do for my father. I didn't post about this earlier since it is a situation that is pretty much we don't know what is going on. About two weeks ago my father was on the golf course when he got a serious pain in his side. He is 70 so pain on the golf course is not unusual. In this case it did not go away or get better. Last Thursday he had a cat scan of his lungs. The result was he was scheduled for a biopsy on Monday. We know so far from that biopsy that it is NOT cancer. But even with that it is still suspected it is a little bit of just about everything else you can have in your lungs, including tuberculosis. They know there is some degree of emphazema. ( I can't spell this stuff and spell check does not work). He has had a long history of Pneumonia and Bronchitis. This is most likely just a progression of lung problems he has had for years. Btu still good thoughts and wishes are appreciated.
I plan to take a day off next week and take him around to see all the stuff I have going on and basically just spend a day with him. Best energy for that to be a good day also if you all don't mind. I am a Christian so outright prayer is my favorite but I don't push my way of doing things on anyone.

Sorry. I do several kinds of prayer so hope you don't mind.

Missy, beautiful family photo! congrats on your weight loss as well. It's not easy. I'm down 15 lbs and 2 sizes from last year but it goes slow for me. Crossfit has been great for changing my body composition. I just need to be more dedicated on portion control to see some more weight loss. ho hum...I just keep plugging away at it.

Oh dear! I just realized that if Steve and I die in a plane crash or something these may be the only 2 photos of the 2 of us together to share at our memorial!!! Even our wedding pictures tend to be the back of one of us to get a front shot of the other (since we faced each other the whole time). Oh Brother we better get some more shots of us together!

As promised, here is evidence that I have ridden an ostrich. It was quite awkward but a very unique experience. I spent 3 weeks in South Africa on a study tour after my junior year of college.

Seth, I hope you get a chance to ride an ostrich some time. It's quite the experience! once was enough for me, though.

Oh, I almost forgot what I logged in here for. I found a 3rd egg tonight when I went in to close up the coop! It was on the floor again. it's the same color as the first one but a little longer and skinnier. I'll post a photo later. This morning Soren came into our room and said, "Mom, the chickens are making a lot of noise. I can hear them. I think they're laughing."

One of them was practicing an egg song. Glad I got an egg out of it eventually. Here's hoping for more on a more regular schedule
