Yep, 2 sf per bird for sleeping only. If they are in an area where they can't free range and such then you need 10sf per bird unless you have bantams then it's only 5sf per bird. LOL

This is the "run." I'm home most of the time, so they'll be safe to free range. The coop is going to go where that white 3-tier planter is right now. Boy, my yard is ugly right now with no plants.

I'm just teasing you. i have myself convinced that the silkies I have coming don't really count towards my total since they are straight run and bantams. with my luck, my ameraucanas will be cockerels anyway.

Lol I'm mostly consoling myself, in print! I know my numbers will go down, due to all kinds of factors. When I get more layers, I'll even be willing to rehome Barbeque and Gourmet. I'm a little attached to them, but I have 3 faverolles and can sacrifice some for room for other breeds.

Pam, No Strombergs does not give a ratio for roos. That's why I oredered so many. I want to be sure to get a couple of pullets (or more).

Aubrey had a horrible roo to pullet ratio on her Polish from Ideal. Hoping I have better luck.

Aubrey, we have have an extra queen mattress and box spring your friend could have! It's in our guest room but we have a queen blow up bed that company can use instead. Oh that must be a horrible feeling to have your pets pass away so suddenly in such a horrible way! We do have a couple of other things left over from staging too if she needs something else. No couches or anything. We sold most of the big stuff already. Gosh just let us know what she needs and I'll see what we have here.

Hello all. I have a request for prayer, good thought, positive vibes, whatever it is you do for my father. I didn't post about this earlier since it is a situation that is pretty much we don't know what is going on. About two weeks ago my father was on the golf course when he got a serious pain in his side. He is 70 so pain on the golf course is not unusual. In this case it did not go away or get better. Last Thursday he had a cat scan of his lungs. The result was he was scheduled for a biopsy on Monday. We know so far from that biopsy that it is NOT cancer. But even with that it is still suspected it is a little bit of just about everything else you can have in your lungs, including tuberculosis. They know there is some degree of emphazema. ( I can't spell this stuff and spell check does not work). He has had a long history of Pneumonia and Bronchitis. This is most likely just a progression of lung problems he has had for years. Btu still good thoughts and wishes are appreciated.
I plan to take a day off next week and take him around to see all the stuff I have going on and basically just spend a day with him. Best energy for that to be a good day also if you all don't mind. I am a Christian so outright prayer is my favorite but I don't push my way of doing things on anyone.
