If i got showgirls i would get a 2 2week olds and i would take the chipmunk and the silver chipmunk.
Why is 2 a girl?
What time is the swap ?

Got to meet Mandy and her DS today. She took one lav/black split pullet and 1 lavender cockerel. Steve and I really enjoyed meeting you Mandy! I hope the new chicks do well with yours.

Aubrey and the others are right. Green's feed is a great place to get chicks from. You pay about the same per chick but avoid those shipping fees. They will also let you order just about whatever you want, from normal hatchery stock anyway. However I think the folks at One Stop Ranch and Feed are nicer (and their prices are much better on feed) but they don't have chicks on a regular basis yet so Green's is still the place to go for chicks.

Also Julie has a swap coming up in April. Not sure what will be available but I plan to check it out.

LOL I didn't even see Julie's post above with the swap info. Cool.

Wow, thank you everyone you are all so very nice and helpfull.

I had a great time meeting Dawn and Her husband today. They were great!, and our new chicks are doing very well and seem to be getting along well. I put them all out in the little run we built for our chicks on nice days. I'll get some pictures of them all after my camera charges.

Julie I've never been to a swap, I'll have to come check it out.

OMG Sunny I didn't even realize I had. I knew your name was Sunny and I've had it right every other time. I was sitting here redesigning my chicken run and guess I was just distracted. Sorry.

Original killed a mouse today! She's one kickbutt chicken. I think, when I start trading out hens as they get older, she'll end up staying to lead the flock. A bit opinionated, but not obnoxiously noisy... she lets me know when anything isn't going on right in the yard.

No problem. I am terrible with names so it doesn't bug me when someone else is too. I knew you knew it cause you called me Sunny in pms and when you got here.

Oh that is AWESOME Missy!!! I had a mouser in my last flock and she taught some of the others how to catch mice! She was the best!!!

Ron one of the birds that she taught to catch mice was Poppy. Does he still catch mice? I wish I had a mouser in my current flock.

I've never seen him catch one but I can confirm that I haven't seen a mouse in the run since he got here!
