Nevadans?

I haven't had any of my new ones lay eggs yet either but they are only 4 months old. My Wyandotte will be first to. She's getting ready by the looks of her comb and wattles so next month she should start.

do you have broodys?

I do have broodies! Sour is sitting on some eggs that are due to hatch on the 25th, but Cacciatore has no eggs right now. That's why I'm considering it.

If I have extras, would anyone want some, considering we had this icky bronchitis crap in April?

That is... if I don't waffle on this so long that the auction is over.

Maybe if I get them and Cacciatore goes un-broody, then someone with a broody might want some? It's just a super good deal.

anldasions right. I want 1 I want 1 I want 1 pick ME!!!!!!!!! oomg now i know how abury felt when she whent from 4 to what is 30 now?

And you want just one? I see you're in Reno, so a pullet? I'll have to figure out when I'll be coming to Reno and I could bring yours as well as AmericanValkyrie's birds. You sure you don't want two to help with the transition?

ummmmm well lets see if they were different colors ya. are they old enough to be out in a coop? and if there are any show prospects you are willning to part with that would be great. i live in a non rooster area so i can't breed.

So then do you show?

I will be holding onto most of the birds that would be considered show quality (I don't get many because I can't breed huge numbers). I haven't figured out prices for them yet, assuming I was to sell some of them.

Here are some pics.

Keep in mind, the tails on these birds are pretty much destroyed after spending 3 weeks in a nest box.

First is a shot of my broody little splash hen. She hatched out all these chicks on June 7. They are almost
6 weeks now and its VERY easy to tell the boys from the girls.

Here's my splash rooster being a good daddy to a splash baby (not his). The hen hatched this one out.
Not sure what happened, she had 6 eggs to start with.

This was the best pic I could get of the baby. She kept hiding behind Mom.

American Valkyrie... in front is the chick with the patch of black. Next to her is a splash pullet. These
could go together if you want. They are (right now) about 4 weeks old. I'm fairly certain they are both
pullets. Not sure exactly when I can get to Reno right now but it will probably be more than a week and
by then I will be certain they are both pullets... or not.

This one shows the splotches of color on the splash. You can see she won't just look like a dirty white.

This is little patch. Should have pretty fair lacing but I can't use a bird with that patch. I've never seen
this before and I have no idea why it happened. This chick is a baby of the splash male/black female
in the earlier picture.
