Nevadans?

I vote breakfast. I remember how bored I was after coop in last year waiting for people to arrive and judges to start looking at birds. People with multiple birds coop in the night before and coop in ends at nine in the morning which leaves a few hour gap before anything exciting starts.

I am going to the show and showing 5 chickens

I vote lunch a carrows cause I can't make breakfast and there will be tons of BYCers there so we should be entertianed

OK I told Ron I'd repost this cause he missed it and I thought he'd get a chuckle out of it...

...

A man is walking home late on Halloween night. It's dark, and the streetlights are out. Suddenly, he hears...

BUMP!

BUMP!

BUMP!

Behind him. He walks faster, but the sound keeps coming.

BUMP!

BUMP!

BUMP!

Worried he is being followed, he glances behind him and through the

darkness, and he can just see an upright coffin. No one seems to be holding the coffin; it's just bumping down the street behind him.

The man is scared. He's sure it's following him! In an effort to shake it off, her turns a corner. To his relief, the sound stops. He keeps walking but before a minute has passed, he hears the familiar sound behind him again:

BUMP!

BUMP!

BUMP!

He is terrified! He starts to run towards his home, but the faster he runs, the faster the coffin bounces along behind him!

Bumpity BUMP!

Bumpity BUMP!

Bumpity BUMP!

He pushes open his front gate, and runs up the path, fumbling for his keys. The coffin reaches the gate and effortlessly pushes it open. It's right behind him!!!

Finally his shaking hands manage to unlock his front door. He has no time to slam it behind him; the coffin is right on his heels! He rushes up the stairs, praying the coffin cannot climb after him.

BUMP!

BUMP!

BUMP!

The coffin pauses at the bottom of the stairs. The man breathes a sigh of relief but ...

clappity BUMP...

clappity BUMP...

clappity BUMP...

The coffin is now climbing the stairs behind him. He runs to the bathroom perhaps he can lock himself in there! His heart pounds and his lungs hurt with the exertion of running for his life! He has only just latched the bathroom door when ...

CRASH!!! The coffin breaks through the bathroom door!

What can he do? The coffin is nearly upon him! He reaches out for something heavy that he can throw at the coffin, and his hand comes to rest on a large bottle of cough syrup.

Desperately, he throws the cough syrup as hard as he can at the coffin and

..........

...........

(Wait for it)

...........

..........

Finally........ the coffin stops!!

BTW, I thought we didn't have a preference for breakfast or lunch but Steve says he prefers breakfast. I do think more folks could make it to a breakfast even if they are showing cause Aubrey is right, once folks are cooped in there isn't a lot to do until after the judging, which can take a while. But we will make it to whichever one gets the most votes. Heck we wouldn't even mind 2 meals! hahahahaha Probably not up for 2 Carrows' meals though.

Not trying to change the subject cause we do need to decide when we are meeting but as an aside...

I just ordered 2 fruit trees and 2 nut trees for spring!!!

Mandy we are heading to Dayton next weekend and can pick up that barbed wire on the way if you still have it. Are you gonna be around next weekend? :)

Missy how's the writing going?

Aubrey do you have any info on the house yet? And how's your Dad doing?

Elizabeth have the neighbors eased up on the chicken complaints?

Sorry but we had all these posts out there that I need updates on...

Breakfast or lunch works for me, but I would vote lunch. Carrows has amazing Cream of Broccoli soup and I haven't had any in years!

Sunny we have no news on the house. We probably won't have any for a couple of months which I am glad about

Thanks for asking also my dad is doing well. He got to go home yesterday and they're gonna send a physical therapist to his house everyday to work with him. I'm happy he's home, that hospital was like a stuffy prison :/ how's your pop? Flu getting better?

Wooohooo on the fruit trees! Where are you planning to plant them?

I'm past 10,000 words!
celebrate.gif
Thanks for asking! As long as we don't have any huge upsets, I can accomplish this goal. But I'm sure the novel won't be done when the 50,000 words are.
Right now Sahara is sitting beside me with my portable word processor. She wants to write a 5,000-word novel for NaNoWriMo.

Elizabeth, ditto on what Sunny said. I've been wondering.

Like I said, either work. I think I'm just more partial to lunch because I'm spoiled and like sleeping in a little.

I'm sure they'll have some nice gluten-free things the kids can have for breakfast, and Russ will love a chance to have some good pancakes. I rarely make them for him. Though he is trying gluten-free for 2 weeks to see if it makes his rheumatoid arthritis ease up.

Jealous!!! How old is your cochin? General Tso isn't laying yet, but her comb is finally starting to get red and she's mellowing out a bit. My brabanter is mellowing, too. My brahma is FAR away from any kind of henlike behavior.

either breakfast or lunch is fine with me.

glad your dad is home from the hospital, aubrey.

congrats on another layer, seth.

My cochin has a very red comb but i don't know if she's laying. Haven't seen her in a nest. I have seen my brahma on the nest though.
Elizabeth have the neighbors eased up on the chicken complaints?
Well, we haven't heard any more complaints but haven't asked either. I think it's much quieter but that may be my biased opinion. also, less are laying right now due to molting and less light etc so that naturally makes it quieter. so for now, it's okay.
