Nevadans?

Ok this is totally off subject, but I just wanted to share proof that my family doesn't live in this century. Unfortunately I never learned how to sew other than hand stitching, so after the poultry show a friend is coming over to show Sahara how to use it. And for Christmas, I'm going to stick a big red bow on the machine.

Just the 2 of you running the whole show?!!! And you are entering how many birds? Girl you are nuts! OK I can loan DH out for a couple of hours early Friday or early Saturday. I'm no help at all unless you have a sit down job I can help with but I'd be happy to take care of any menial jobs like taking entry cards, filling out forms or helping others to, handing out literature, that kind of stuff.
HAHA well 26 of my 47 entries are waterfowl, so they get fresh tub of water night before the show and a spray from the hose and they can go into the carry crate. Well, except the White Sebastopol geese they will have to have a soapy bath first to clean the curls that drag the ground. I have all but 3 chickens washed so far.... I have 2 kids that help me so we do an assembly line, 2 people washing and one person towel drying, then in front of the heater...goes pretty fast!

Thanks very much for the offer of DH and if he is willing/interested, Friday between 9-4 is where we need help the most(a couple of hours is fine). Luckily the RSLEC staff sets up most of the tables for us, we then have to cover tables with tar paper, pop open the wire cages and set them on top, then shavings and a feed and water cup on top and lastly coop cards.... So not too difficult just a large area to cover (800 holes) my legs get tired just thinking about it but the show is so much fun that I can die on Sunday after!

Sunny, I did not see if you counted me in for Carrows yet? It's just going to be me! 1

Oh Missy, sorry to hear about your little ss. That's very hard.

Aubrey, Sorry to read about Mama on fb. I hope you are feeling much better. She gave up long before you did. She knew you loved her dearly. Are you saying the raccoons stopped attacking your flock now? That sure would be nice. I found a raccoon scat today the size of my middle finger. That had to come from a big raccoon. The footprint it left from the waterers showed a really big foot print as well. Just a few more days and my trap will be here.

Lacy Blues, would you feel comfortable following us home after Carrows so you can get your straw? I live 2 or 3 miles from there.

That will be fine.

Or if you're not busy, after lunch would probably be better for me as we'll be loading up birds and needing to get home after the show. Either way though.

LOL! Sounds like you've got this down to a science. Can't wait to see your Sebastopol geese!

OK we'll come by mid day then. We need to be in Carson that afternoon but we have a couple of hours to help out in the middle of the day. See ya Friday around 11am. :)

Confirming for just two at Carrows.
Got it.

Don't worry. I wouldn't forget you Sheryl. Looking forward to it.

Yes,I know seth, forgot to mention that. My count for Carrows is 5-7, depends on who can come.
I'll put you down for 5. Let me know if there will be more. I want to call them tomorrow to give them a heads up since it is a large party.
