Nevadans?

NevadaRon, that video was cute. Here's another, it is ADORABLE!!! Apparently the duckling has imprinted on running shoes!

I enjoyed my ducklings' imprint time so much! Except those nights I never got sleep because the ducklings wouldn't sleep unless they were cuddled. It only lasted about 3 weeks, and by then they were almost as big as a bantam chicken and well on their own.

I think The blue wheaton is only siblings with my Blue wheaton not my wheatons.
Nope, all the W/BW chicks I hatched last year were out of my wheaten rooster, so they are all siblings. Remember, wheaten x wheaten produces wheaten, blue wheaten and splash wheaten.

Lacy you realize your whaeton is actually a splash wheaton....
And is one bigger than the other?

No, they are the same size, Seth. Trust me on this one. I didn't notice if the pics look different, but when you have them both next to each other, they're the same size. The Blue Wheaten has a bigger tail, but that doesn't really count.

Yep, per chickee they're blue wheaten and buff x wheaten.  I have a buff x wheaten girl here who is a nice mellow color with little variation.  The roosters are so much prettier.

Opps, buff x wheaton cross. Those sure are pretty boys. He's still freezer bound though. :/

Curly toes may not be hereditary.  Sometimes, if there is a problem with humidity during incubation, their toes can get curled.  Try them out and see.  When I first got my Andalusians, one of them had badly curled toes on one foot.  A judge suggested I breed her to find out if she passes it on.  She didn't.  Seth could breed the other one too... just to find out.

Oh cool, I never knew that. I'm going to breed her first Missy, and see if her babies are fine. She's really sweet and tame, so I'd rather keep her. If it is hereditary though, I'll let you have her if you want her.

On a side note, does anyone on here quilt? I want to try it out with a basic pattern. I went to wallyworld to get some fabric, and it was over five dollars a yard for the basic colors. Is there anywhere in Reno or online to get low price fabric that's still good quality? Or does it all cost about the same? I thought when I was younger it didnt cost as much.

Fabric is super expensive! What type of quilt do you want? I have a client whose mother used to quilt, and she's going to give me a bunch of scrap material for Sahara to use for practice on her sewing machine. If you want to do patchwork or something like that, you can have some of the fabric. From what I understand, it's a lot.

This is a really basic pattern I found on Pinterest. I was thinking of following this pretty closely, with either a blue theme or a dark purple one. It's not really a patchwork type thing, or at least I don't think it is. If you happen to get a lot of fabric, I would love to have some if there's enough and you and Sahara are fine with it. I think I'm probably going to have to buy some. My aunt gave me some, but I don't have enough of one color scheme to make a whole quit. That's a good price then?

I quilt and love it! $5 - $8 per yard is pretty standard and probably the cheapest you'll find. You might try hitting a sale at Joann's, plus perhaps what Missy is able to get for you.

If you want something to do, I'm part of a group on BYC that needs one more person. This time we're all doing the same block and any color of green and white. The instructions are on the first page of this thread:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/749908/june-1st-quilt-block-exchange/170#post_10816913

Please come over soon and/or let me know if you want to do this as people are starting to talk about having to make extra to meet the 16 person close-out. It would be really nice to have one more person.
