Kim - He's beautiful, if I had the room and he would be part of my project then I'd take him in a heartbeat. I wouldn't mind getting 2 AM's chicks for my project since Lacey went broody again.

I found a new egg in the run this morning and I don't have any chickens laying eggs in the run, all the hens that were laying, lay in the nest box and this egg is slightly different than the ones being laid by my other French hens so this must mean I have a new layer!

We shall see as I watch them even closer to see if I get 3 French hen eggs in 1 day.

Wish someone would take him. she can't have roos and when she brought home a new hen he fell in love and the next day he started crowing.

Anyone near Dayton interested in imported english orpingtons? I ended up with 75% roosters with my order. These guys came from thefancychick.com (rockinpaints on here). They are free too- cant get better than free!

Where is Windswept feed store? Is it a pretty good feed store? I have 5-6 Silkie roosters that are supposed to go to S&W this week. They have a rooster pen where you can drop extra roos.

It's across the street (almost) from Silver stage schools. Their feed prices are lower than S&w but not their accessories. I would be able to take a few off your hands. I plan on selling some chicks at the feed store Sat if you want me to take your Roos. Either way, I'd be able to take 2 or 3 for myself.

I am starting a new siklie and frizzeled silkie project all are SQ and the goal is to get them to be very competetive for major breed and class wins! I lost my produduction red hen so I am in the market for some laying PULLETS. I recently took Champian RCCL at the CA state fair open(adult) show! Pretty good for a youth! How are all my old friends doing?
