Can ya believe this snow?!!? The boys and I prayed for more snow so we could build better snowmen for them and literally within 3 hours it started snowing. hehe The boys are believers for life I think. *giggle* The girls were so funny wading around in the snow. They were not waiting for me to shovel them out yesterday morning. I think the thought of being stuck inside was too much to bear for them. *LOL* I had ppl stopping in the middle of the street just staring at us, me shoveling around their house and the girls walking out in the middle of the snow. I guess no know has seen that before.
Anyway, congrats on getting your showgirls Aubrey! I know how much you really really wanted them. Were you ever able to find a home for Lyle? I saw the ad on Craig's list but I did not know if you found someone yet.
Jeepers I am so sorry about your loss. *hug* You are definitely in our prayers. Losing a pet is so horrible and no matter how many times it has happened it is never easy and you never get used to it. *bighug*
I am still sick. I was a lame brain and decided since I was feeling better around Tuesday that I would go ahead and rearrange the chicken coop. The girls started taking over the brooder section for their nesting area and where I had put the tote nests was always in the way of the front door so I took them out and then sectioned off the brooder into four nesting areas. The chickens LOVE it. They have gone into egg laying overdrive now and they all love the extra space they have to move around in now. But alas it was too much work for me and I have relasped on the sickie front. The good news is that my boys (DH included) are all better so it is just me on the mend now.
Big Bertha and one of my Sex-Links have been extremely broody the last couple of days I have been awfully tempted to see what would happen if I let them hatch out some Australorp cross eggs. The only thing stopping me is this weather. Not really the ideal weather for egg hatching or baby chicks. I definitely have spring fever for chickens though.
We'll I am getting narcosleepy again so back to bed I go. You all take care and I will chat at you later! Enjoy the snow
