on the hatch. My wife used to enjoy Henderson back when it was a little town too. I ended up at home the hard way today, geographically challenged to the bathroom, so I thought that I would check in. Happy Monday to everybody.

Someone just asked if a rooster worn hen with no feathers was OK so that is why I added the info on condition. I found a pic of the Lt. Brahma roo in a small breeding pen.

what a pretty bird.... i wish i wasn't in the middle of a life upheaval and knew what the living arrangements were going to be....
ya know, actually, i don't even have a full size bird i want to get rid of right now.. ol.. the extras are all under 4 months old.... oh well...

Evonne, I could check to see if that is big enough but I think that it would be. How many weeks old and how big? I think he is going more for the instruction and experience than overall size. Did you have any luck on the new place yet? PM me the address 'cuz that is close. I might look for some more little goat pictures out in the sun for Sunny in a bit.

Sunny Dawn you should check out craigslist. There was a lady looking for a replacement flock (coyote got hers) in reno... I was going to give her some of my layers that were to bossy for the Barnevelders.... But we had several yucky snow storms and they could not get up here...... She did not have money, but I could to get the snotty hens out of the coop to make space for the 12 in the garage!

Maybe she is still on the postings?

Welcome Peep Show, I am pretty new around here also. Just discovered this group about three weeks ago.
Evonne, I agree it is nice to have company. I am grateful to have many people near or in Reno.
SD when it hits 80 and everyone starts turning on AC. Just take your hot Cocoa out on the patio and enjoy all the odd looks you get.

By the way everyone I ordered a dozen Serama eggs today. Totally rebuild the incubator to convert it from experimental to a serious egg hatching machine. Wish me luck.

Hey all,

I've been kinda quiet lately but I've been lurking. My dad and I finally finished our first ever bator and we set 27 eggs on the morning of the 6th (sat). Never done this before so we're kinda nervous, but very excited. In the bator I have eggs from 3 sources. KatyTheChickenLady in Idaho sent me a doz. of hers, but 2 got crushed in shipping...so 10 from her. Evonne gave me 9 eggs from her EE mixes to hatch and ChickfromLV gave me 8 of hers to put in.

It's day 10 and we just candled.

KatyTheChickenLady ... took out 4 (mostly blood rings) sadly foiling my chance for a pure bred Ameraucana (she sent 2 AM eggs, one crushed in shipping, one blood ring)

6/12 still in play!

evonne ... took out one EEXBR egg (hairline fracture/porous looking egg)

8/9 going strong!

ChickfromLV ... took out 2 infertile BO X Frizzle eggs

6/8 looking good!



ke_ben ... it's a deal! What do you have left? I want a FBCM roo!
