Cool! That was awesome. I loved how your dog was trying to get in on the action. Regarding the smell...it's so surprising that people get so hung up on the poo...it's not like their dogs/cats/kids don't do it. Sheeesh!

Hi All!

I posted a couple of days ago on theIntro forum but I did not have the time to make a formal post here yet. Anyway, I wanted to stop in and say HIIIII! and I am really glad to see other fellow chicken lovers right here close by. So often when you join messageboards like this, rarely to run into anyone even remotely close to you.

I am currently building my Coop and I have 6 laying hens that I picked up off of Craig's for free. I would like to add about 20 to 25 more birds to this original six but the Coop must be finished first. I got a bunch of lumber from some guy up in Incline that was re-doing a deck but it was not quite enough to build the Coop like I want. We still need some plywood, etc. I have been watching Craig's like a hawk but it's been so dead the last week. No wood (free or cheap) and no chickens (at a reasonable price that I can afford right now).

Aubreynoramarie, I saw your post on 203 about the guy with the petting zoo. There is a petting zoo out that way (that I just found about 3 weeks ago) and they do have birds, turkeys, chickens, peacocks, ducks, etc. but I do not know if this is the same guy that runs the place. If it is, he is really a nice guy. He has a English Mastiff out there at the zoo that is this guy's personal pet but he (the Mastiff not the guy) hangs out in the petting area to sneak pets from the kids walking by. He's almost as big as their tigers they have but he's WAY too skinny. Anyway, You have me curious about the two chickens you are rehoming... could ya tell me a bit about them or link me to your CL ad?

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone!

N.
