Got my computer back today - lucky me, he gave me a 50% discount cause I was just there a month ago

I appreciate the discount though. I wonder if my computer crashing was related to the malware warnings posted here. My computer crashed while I was on BYC - got a popup window that said malware was detected and an antivirus was being run (not the antivirus I bought). I will call Andy at the computer hospital & find out.

Apparently, You Tube is bad, very bad at depositing spyware/malware onto your computer - I have a 13 & 11 yo daughters who like to watch videos!

Also, if a box pops up that says an antivirus program is running & has detected malware, etc., do not click on it AT ALL!!!! Close your computer out immediately (click on start and then shut down). If you get a pop up that says do you want to "end session" or "restore session" always click END SESSION. Hackers are very clever at disguising their programs in antivirus programs. If you click X to close it, it will load it - basically anything you click on will load the viruses. Always close your computer out if you get one of these. Hope this never happens to you!

The Rooster on the other hand is not going to make it past the weekend. He keeps attacking the boys when they go out there and he does not back down until they are out of the pen. He's also pecking the crap out of 3 of the hens so it will be a small but savoury chicken and dumplings for Sunday.

I wish my DH did not hate eggplant parmigiana. *cry* Well I guess it's spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight because you have made me really hungry for red sauce and meat. It took me about 3 years to perfect my sauce so that my husband enjoyed red sauce and my meatballs are the same way so he LOVES it when I make it now. The fresh basil we grow in our hydro garden takes the sauce from being good to just amazing. Too bad that rooster is not bigger or he'd be the final touches on some chicken parm instead of dumplings. *LOL*

Here is what you need to do to permanently cure that problem. Hopefully, you aren't using one of the "Home" editions of Windows. When your computer is first set up, there is only one user which, by default, has Administrator privileges and no password, which means it can do anything to the computer. Unfortunately, any virus/malware that you inadvertently load also has those privileges!

So I first set a password on that Administrator account, then create a new account that has Power User privileges for the parents, and another account that only has regular user privileges for the teens. So far, I've yet to have a callback!
