I think it has to have something to do with it. You want to hear something really crazy? I have actually caught myself counting the bars on my BR's and the SLW laces. My SLW look almost identical, it is like they are clones not just sisters from the same mother. So I figured if I counted their laces it might help with telling them apart. It is so bad that when I decided to give everyone in the flock names I could not just glance at the SLW's and find enough of a difference in each of them to be able to accurately give them each a different name and then have the ability to remember which name goes with which bird. After much deliberation (inside my head) I have decided to name them after the Borg and I call them 1 of 6, 2 of 6, and so forth. My SLW rooster will be arriving on Monday or Tuesday and he will be named 7 of 6. *LOL*

No ducks here yet but I was thinking of getting some geese and maybe a black swan pair. My DH wants to put a pond in the yard and then get some ducks, geese and like I mentioned maybe a Black Swan pair.

I do not know how they do here but when I lived in Maine guinea, goose and duck eggs were a big seller.

Ducks and geese. My ducks are a call duck mix - they look like small ducks, do not have the small/tiny show call head, and are good broody ducks. My geese are white chinese, they do go broody.

must admit, I count and group things

i have 4 ducks. none of them like me and i cant seem to sell the eggs. even with only 2 hens we cant use all the duck eggs, so we were thinking of selling the duckies and just sticking to chickens...

I have one Pekin (Isabel) and one Pekin / Runner (Ming Ming), Issy lays an egg every day. I have people that love them for baking. I have a pond and a marsh just for them and the 8 wild Mallards I hatched out this past spring.
