yay i found Wimpy a home!
shes a school teacher who has no other chickens but is interested in starting a small flock. Shes gonna let him have run of the backyard all to himself for a few weeks while he recovers from his injuries and gets over his molt, then shes going to buy him two bantam girls to...you know...do that thing with as he pleases. im so happy! im gonna miss him to death, though. this was a perfect rooster trial run! Mark and i are considering our options at this point as to what kind of rooster we really need. maybe a young one so the girls can pick on him and he wont fight back? Not a bantam, but not a huge roo either- as the bantams are too small to mate my girls, but the large roos are too big to fit through the coop door!
oh i dont know... it is kind of stressful thinking about bothering the neighbors everymorning. moving roo in and out of the house and keeping him in a seperate pen so he cant get outside first thing in the morning. I suppose on saturday ill let Wimpy have free reign of the backyard while he awaits his new owners and see how loud it is when hes roming around.
i mean sheesh, i THINK since Mark has accepted the idea of getting a roo...he should be okay with me getting another hen, right?!?!
lol, omg i am truly addicted.
Anyways, heres Wimpy this morning. The girls were just begging for a peice of him and he couldnt be none the wiser
