to everyone...isn't the BBQ today? I've been thinking about everyone and all the chicken talk going on and hoping everyone's have a great time! Wish I was there!

Yep! Just got back. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed myself! Elizabeth your two little ones are sooo cute!
Thank you everyone for being so nice about my pork jerky!
Sheryl Mille is a perfect lady! What a sweet dog you have there.
There's some left Tyler! It actually tasted good but I really like the moist, tender stuff. Next time they will be much much better!

We are 3 miles in from 395 at the north end of Red Rock. Yes it will be further to town but Hubby works at the Depot so he will be a lot closer to work.
I actually still love to drive (except on ice and in super heavy fog) so I think it will be easier for me than other folks and I only need to come into town once a week. Or am I deluding myself?
I picked up my new dog at the BBQ! We are now the proud owners of a 9 month old German Shepherd Puppy. He's supposed to be my dog mostly but has bonded to Steve already!
Oh well, he's a smart dog. He'll figure out who spoils him the most soon enough.
Thanks for a lovely time at the BBQ. We would have stayed longer but the kiddos were getting restless. We enjoyed it! The food was all good! The kids said their favorite part was petting the dogs.

Both the dogs loved the attention! Steve and I enjoyed meeting you and your husband too. It's nice to know there are a few BYC folks in that area!
Hey everyone, it was great seeing you all at the BBQ! I couldn't believe how quickly 3 hours went by - I guess I was having a good time.
Congratulations on "Samson" Sunny. He looks like he'll be a fine dog!
Elizabeth S&W Feeds in Carson City gets their chicks from Ideal. That's where I got my two SLWs my EEs, and my Buff Orpingtons. Unfortunately, they won't have any more until next Feb. Although I have heard that they will put together special orders for people. Also, if you aren't thinking of getting any chicks until Oct., by then your garage probably won't be too hot for brooding. I know when I got this year's batch last Feb., my biggest concern was keeping the garage warm enough! My garage has a gas heater in it though so between that set on 60 and the heat lamps, everything was fine.
Hi everyone, I want to say I had a blast today and I loved meeting everyone! Mille was very happy to be back home, it was a little hard on her to meet all the new people but I know she had fun too but she gets nervous around people she doesn't know.
I really love all the personalities we had today and I can't wait to meet more of you in November at the Reno Livestock Event Center north on Wells Ave.
Ron post the pics you took today too please I think we would love to see them.
