my brothers wife is 11 years older than him and already had three kids...he was 18 when they met though so i kinda felt bad that he never got to be a kid
I was like a year and a half older than my last BF. Apparently at our age thats a huge different because he acted like a toddler. Didnt work out. lol thank god.
I think Im going to steal that idea Sheryl. I usually keep a binder on them, but it gets messy.
So I have this awsome idea, I wanted to run it by yall to see what you think. We have a hot tub that broke, and we havent hauled it off because we sold the car trailer and we just cant lift it and get it out of there yet. Its really pretty, with like redwood siding and stuff, and since we cant move it I was thinking: Lets make this into somthing epic. What do you think about driling some holes in the bottom, filling it halfway up with potting soil, and covering it with plasic in the early spring? Wa la, instand mini green house. Would it work?

news flash: doent matter the age, they will ALWAYS act like toddlers, hahahaha
lacy i love that idea. we had one of those old round wood paneled hot tubs built into our porch and i always wanted to plant a dwarf fruit tree in it, but alas, the boys ripped it out
honestly though i like the greenhouse thing, its incredibly cool
I am a month and a half shy of being 4 years older than my wife. She was just shy of being 18 when we first dated. almost didn't happen. I was in a situation that I need a date for an event. all my close friends where going out of town for spring break. I eventually asked her out not form desperation but maybe lack of options. .
That date was a really really bad, but she stuck around anyway. Sort of stayed together from then on. Never really asked her to be my "Girlfriend" or anything. It was sort of my dream relationship in that it just was and neither one of us had to make some colossal decision about it. Pretty much we have simply never gotten tired of being with each other so we went ahead and got married and had some babies. We've had a few rough spots along the way but only once even thought of separating. I don't think either one of us has ever thought we would be better off apart. We have just always been what we are. No real wondering "What if" I guess I got to much of the What If before I met her. Didn't like it and don't miss it. I suppose it was like if you need to consult your horoscope to determine how you felt about me you where not the right one for me.
Has anyone had a hen be broody laying on eggs and still laying eggs?
One of the chicks we got from Sunny became a momma this last week. thing is she has had three chicks hatch over the past 4 days. one per day. she still ahs 3 fertile eggs under her. this morning I found two more freshly laid eggs. She may be gathering them from another hen I can't be certain but they are definitely from just one hen and we never see any other birds in the box with her. We tried to let her keep the chicks but lost one that way. we now have the other two in a brooder.
They all hatched from blue eggs. i also know the roo was Americauna. So anyone wanting dibs on some Americauna chicks let me know. We have 2 right now and may get 3 more over the next 3 to 5 days. The eggs have been candled and I know they have embryos in them.
You guys sound like my Son's life! My son was married before and he has a son, Ryan, and Ryan lives with my son but they do have joint custody of him. My daughter in-law was married before too and has 3 kids of her own, the youngest one is 10. Linda was born in June and this new grandbaby is due in July, she just got pregnant. They will have 6 altogether. I don't really know her kids very well, I've only met them twice, this time though they will be at the house while I'm there so I'll be seeing them for most of my trip and I'm looking forward to really getting to know them.
Unless it's a difference of 10 years or more they don't consider that a May-December relationship. To be considered the "older woman" you'd need another 4 years.

I started to say that 18 is too young for anyone to be married but my Mom and Dad were 17 and 19 and they are still happily married and still have the hots for each other! They fight with the same passion as well but new studies are showing that couples that never fight rarely stay married (ok don't get mad at me I'm just restating an article I read on Yahoo and of course there are exceptions both ways). They have been married for 58 years!!! My Dad's song to my Mom (he sings it to her on every anniversary) is "Too Young" by Nat King Cole. If you don't know the song, it's about how love has endured even though every one said they were too young to know what real love was. So I guess it isn't always too young (but I still think it rarely works when folks get married really young like that. My folks are the exception not the rule).
Lacey I love the idea of turning the hot tub into a mini green house! I've seen tons of things turned into cold frames and they work very well!

LOL!!! (sorry guys but it was funny)
I do have to say they aren't all child like and I've dated some very serious, put together, nice, even keeled men before but unfortunately they bored me to tears.
I think this is a serious flaw in my character!
Daniel what a sweet story!!! You two are so cute!
So one of my babies is a momma huh? That is so cool! I've had broodies steal eggs from other nests but I don't think I've ever had one still laying while she is brooding.

Well my Hubby and I created a blended family but when we married we didn't rush to have more kids. Quite the opposite. My DH (to be at the time) said to me "Wouldn't a baby from us be the most adorable baby ever?" to which I replied "More kids? Are you out of your mind? I'm sorry but I have a teenager and once you have a teenager it cures you for good!" Ha ha ha ha ha! I tell my youngest all the time that it was a good thing his sister had not hit the teenage years before he came along! He wouldn't be here if she had.
Seriously none of the other kids were anyway near as hard as my first, uh very, very strongwilled child. If I'd known the others would be so much easier I might have reconsidered... um, ok, maybe not.
She is so strongwilled she was determined to never have kids because she was afraid her Karma would be horrific! At least she can laugh about her "insane years". BTW the universe had other ideas for her and she is having to deal with her Karma after all.
