Nevadans?

Sorry to say Missy but they can't live outside during the Winter at all. You don't need much room though. You can even put them in a coffee can and have them under your sink if you want so you don't really need tons of room. The most important thing I've found is to have your oats and such very deep otherwise the beetles will eat your worms.

Hey guys! Just picked up the first two of my seven birds. Meet my new Mille fleur leghorns, Millie and flora! They're sooooo pretty

I've already checked out what's its the sale barn so far. LOTS of cool birds but they are extravigently priced and are mostly fancy birds. But we will see what tomorrow brings. The amount of birds in the sale barn is about a many as our whole chicken show put together!

Can you find out if there are any Welsh Harlequin ducks there? If there are can you find out how much they want for them so I can make sure I bring enough money?

I'm like soooo jealous you are already there!

Congratulations on part of your new addition!!

Let's hope there's some tomorrow!

I gotta keep the ducks diversified so there isn't going to be malformed ducks hatching, that scares me the most! It's so hard to not have related ducks when there isn't very many in the United States.

Last night's dinner was a total hit! When he saw the cream puffs, he asked, "Did you know how to make this already?" I told him no, I learned just for him. He said they were the best he had ever tasted. Thanks Sheryl for the recipe!

Seared ahi tuna with a sesame/ginger/citrus crust, topped with wasabi aioli. Wild greens salad with tomato, blueberries, almonds, Dutch gouda, and a homemade strawberry/cilantro/lime/balsamic dressing.

From-scratch bread, topped with a butter, roasted garlic, and parsley, and cooked until the top is just crispy.

Sheryl's cream puff recipe, filled with whipped cream and an almond cheesecake custard, topped with dark chocolate ganache, almonds, and more whipped cream.

Since we're both watching our diet, he took the leftovers to work with him and was really popular today.

What a perfect dinner you had! I don't think I could have done any better than that for sure Missy!

I want the recipe for the garlic sticks please! Yummy!

Rich Egg Bread:
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 packet yeast
1/2 Tbsp salt
1 egg
1 Tbsp oil
1 cup water

Mix 1.5 cups flour with sugar, yeast, salt. Add oil and warm water, beat until smooth. Add egg, beat again. Add additional 1.5 cups flour. Knead until smooth, 8 minutes or so, adding more flour as you need. Rise 1 hour. Shape into twists, rise about 30 min. Bake 325 degrees. When the bread has solidified but isn't yet golden brown, brush with garlic butter. Feel free to brush with more garlic butter as bread finishes browning.

Garlic Butter:
1 cube REAL butter, softened
1 clove garlic, roasted and cooled
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
salt to taste

Roasting garlic: peel and smash garlic cloves, drizzle with olive oil, shake in salt/pepper, then wrap in a foil packet and bake 350 degrees for about a half hour.
